Pastor Ioan Pelea

Pastor Ioan Pelea was born on August 20, 1955. He is married to Livia Pelea since August 19, 1978, and they have two sons, Cristian Pelea, married to Patricia, living in Arad, Romania, and Alex, who is in middle school.

Pastor Pelea is an ordained Baptist minister since August 1998 and has served in the Baptist Church of Vinga, Arad, until 2004 when he came to the US. From 1995 to 1996 he served with the “Izvorul Vietii”(Life Spring) ministry, a mission organization focusing on sending missionaries to unreached areas. In the US he served as Assistant Pastor in the “Speranta” Romanian Baptist Church of Sacramento, CA, until his move to Charlotte in June 2006.

Pastor Pelea has studied at the Romanian Theological Institute based in Hollywood, Florida, US, and at the Baptist Seminary from Bucharest, Romania.
